HCC CEO, Robert James Cimasi, MHA, ASA, MCBA, FRICS, CVA, CM&AA, and HCC President, Todd Zigrang, MBA, MHA, FACHE, ASA, recently authored an email alert for the Hospital & Health Systems Practice group of the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA) entitled, “First Circuit Limits Applicability of False Claims Act,” regarding the Willette v. University of Massachusetts Medical School case, in which the district court held that the public university medical school was an "arm of the state" and thus not a "person" subject to suit under the False Claims Act.
