Health Capital Consultants (HCC), an established, nationally recognized financial and economic consulting firm based in suburban St. Louis, MO, is expanding and has an immediate full-time career position available for a Business Valuation - Associate Financial Analyst. HCC’s services include: valuation of healthcare enterprises, assets and services in all healthcare sectors; healthcare provider related intermediary services, including, integration, affiliation, acquisition and divestiture, and ACO development; Certificate of Need (CON) and regulatory consulting; financial analysis, including the development of forecasts, budgets and income distribution plans; and, litigation support and expert witness services.
The successful candidate for this full time, career position will assist in all aspects of the analysis of financial and economic data, and will play an integral role in the development of conclusions and opinions, as well as the writing of comprehensive reports related to a diverse range of valuation projects.
Example of Essential Duties Include:
Data Collection – request and organize all data necessary for a specified client engagement
Due Diligence – investigate and present in a clear manner the findings of the entity’s historical operations
Client Financial Analysis – develop meaningful insights based on historical financial statements and discussions with management
Valuation Modeling – performing various financial analyses, excel-based modeling, and deliverable preparation
Industry Research – gathering all relevant information around a particular healthcare segment, new trends (i.e., regulatory, reimbursement, competition, technology, etc.)
Writing – drafting narrative reports in support of our valuation opinions and calculations
Project Management – ability to keep a running schedule of priorities as you manage the engagement process for multiple valuations at once
Communication – provide managers and clients with concise yet comprehensive communication
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree, preferably in finance or economics, and 1-3 years’ experience in a healthcare valuation role, with specific knowledge of compensation/asset valuation. Preferably have worked on a variety of healthcare valuation engagements, as well as have been published or have spoken on industry topics. Candidate should have graduate degree training and/or have obtained or currently working towards obtaining healthcare valuation accreditations such as (ASA, CFA, CVA, CPA/ABV). Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and related programs. Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
